The buttercup cottage and a Christmas project

(sorry for the bad picture)

So, I finally did it. I've purchased a Buttercup Cottage from miniatures.com. It caught my eye three months ago and I finally did it. It's a beautiful small house, perfect for a seasonal project. I'm thinking about a Christmas one. I want a cozy place, with a fire burning and lots of Christmas decoration besides a snowy landscape. I don't know exactly how it's going to be, and dont have specific ideas yet (although, I've surfing the net looking for them) but I know how I want to feel when looking at it. Do you know how good it feels when is frezing cool outside and you are at home, really warm, with a blanket covering you, and reading a book and you suddenly think: God, It must be cold outside but it feels so good to be home??I want a place that says so. I've been saving and gathering pictures in my computer and think that this could be a good color scheme for the outside, and this facade is amazing (Shannon does great things) , and this is great idea for the banister and I'm also making some room for something like this (BTW, wow).

The buttercup cottage is widely popular and full of posibilities. You can add a new room, like in here  and you can do whatever you want with the outside but I have to confess that I'm a little nervous. Have no idea what is included in the kit and how i have to paint the wood and have lots of technical doubts.

Well, all you American readers will be glad to help me, right?

----------------

  4. Hello Begona and thanks for visiting my little blog. I'm excited to see your little cottage! It is darling! I'll be watching your progress!
I've never built a dollhouse. I found one at a garage sale and am now remodeling it. Yours will be a beautiful Christmas cottage! I'm imagining one that looks like a gingerbread house on the outside and Grandma's house inside.
Have fun with it! Can't wait to see what you do!
